Privacy policy
How CodeTether handles data across the website, execution machines, connection services, and AI providers.
Last updated: September 22, 2026Scope and maintainer
This policy covers the CodeTether public website and product. The project is maintained in the lyf-workshop/CodeTether repository. A separate legal entity name and privacy email have not been published; use GitHub Issues for current contact.
Website data
The public website serves product information and has no connected production account or analytics integration in this codebase. Standard infrastructure logs may contain network and request metadata needed to operate and secure the site.
Product and execution data
Projects, provider credentials, native sessions, prompts, transcripts, tool output, file paths, and diffs are designed to remain within execution-machine and provider boundaries. Relay forwards opaque authenticated machine traffic and is not workspace storage.
Third-party services
GitHub hosts the source repository, issues, and releases. Codex and Claude Code process data under their own services and privacy terms. The hosting provider may process request metadata required to deliver this website.
Your choices and data requests
Use supported device and trust controls for product authorization changes. For privacy questions, open an issue without including credentials, private source code, prompts, or sensitive content. A fixed retention period has not been published.
