Know the two device roles
An execution machine is the computer or server where the project and coding agent run. A control device is one phone or tablet used to monitor and perform supported interventions. The free allowance is one of each.
Connect a remote execution machine
- Install the matching Node release as the intended non-root operating-system user.
- Begin the normal one-time pairing flow on the Node and enter the fresh target and code in the Controller.
- Verify the presentation-safe machine identity before committing trust.
- Register the exact project location on that machine after pairing succeeds.
Authorize a phone or tablet
Sign-in and public mobile distribution are not connected on this website build. When the supported mobile release and account service are published, use that flow to authorize one control device. Do not treat account login alone as machine execution permission.
Understand the network path
- Direct connections use a reachable authenticated machine endpoint on the local network.
- Relay-assisted connections use outbound connections and retain end-to-end pinned machine authentication.
- Relay presence does not prove that a project, provider, or execution path is ready.
- A stopped service, sleeping execution machine, or lost network prevents live remote control.
Free device allowance
Free to download. Includes 1 execution machine and 1 control device — a phone or tablet. How capacity beyond that allowance will be handled has not been announced.
CodeTether never treats a lost network response as permission to replay provider work automatically. When execution ownership is uncertain, inspect the conversation before starting a fresh task.
